Erasmus+ is the programme of the EU for the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport for the period 2014-2020. Erasmus+ replaces seven programmes bringing together: the Lifelong Learning Programme (Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius and Grundtvig), the Youth in Action programme and five international cooperation programmes. It also includes a new section for sport actions.
Erasmus+ encourages individual mobility and will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad. It also promotes transnational partnerships and alliances among Education, Training, and Youth institutions and organisations to foster cooperation, stimulate knowledge and innovation and bridge the worlds of Education and work in order to tackle the skills gaps we are facing in Europe. Moreover, Erasmus+ will also support national efforts to modernise Education, Training, and Youth systems. The new action of sport will support grassroots projects and cross-border challenges such as combating match-fixing, doping, violence and racism.
You can read much more about it in the website of the Programme and you can get support from the National Agencies of the Programme in each country.
